Hi folks. Yet another ford ecoblue wet timing belt job. We haven’t seen many of these engines fitted to the Ford focus yet, but I’m sure we will. Normally fitted to the Ford transit. Same as ever though, cleanliness is key. And genuine parts every time as standard. Any repairs needing done, we’ll always be here to help if possible.

If you have a Citroen,Peugeot, Ford with the dreaded 1.5 dv5 engine. It has a known issue with the timing chain linking the camshafts failing prematurely. We’ve had a few of these lately for repair. We can fix them with new cam followers,cambox, camshafts,chain,timing belt kit,coolant, water pump, oil and filter using good quality parts for around £1600 including the vat etc. much cheaper than a new engine

We’re seeing more and more of the Peugeot/vauxhall/citroen 1.2 puretech engines now needing timing belts. We have 2 this week alone. We carry out replacement including genuine timing belt kit, correct oil/filter and removing the sump to check for any issues for approximately £600. A fraction of the main dealer price. Don’t chance leaving the timing belts too long on these. It will be a lot more than £600 if they break

What should have been an easy enough morning turned into something else. Injectors in a 1.6 tdi Volkswagen caddy, but all seized up,requiring specialist tools to remove. Thankfully they eventually all came out
